Description: Trains Passing Haunted House On Both Sides! Oldest House In Walton Kentucky! Norfolk Southern Train With DPU in front of house at railroad crossing and CSX train with DPU behind house! This was a stage coach stop, inn and saloon. The Abner Gaines House was built here before the railroads. This is between Cincinnati and Lexington, Kentucky. Look how fast the steel rolls train is booking in front of the house! House is owned by the city of Walton, Kentucky. Excellent trains hot spot for rail fanning. Could you imagine riding a stagecoach here and spending a night at this inn back in the early 1800s? There are all kinds of stories of drama and ghosts from this house. Here is more information from their website: explorekyhistory.ky.gov/items/show/671 The CSX line gets about 7-9 trains every 24 hours and the Norfolk Southern line gets around 15 or more. There were a lot more trains on these lines until the recent Precision Scheduled Railroading ( PSR ) was implemented. Best frequencies are 160.950 for Norfolk Southern and 161.370 for CSX.
