Description: If hydraulic vise can be opened only 4-5" wide, how useful it really is? It can be used for clamping.. like regular vises, without getting actual advantage about the hydraulic feature. This version fixes that. Video about making my second prototype about the combined vise. Hydraulic vise and screw vise at one. Welds made with Telwin force 145 inverter. Rods: Esab ok 73.15 ( E 8018-G ) and Elga 309mol ( E 309MoL-17) between Ldx and steel connections. Cuts made with Metabo 180mm and 125mm angle grinders Abrasives: 3M cubitron 2 cut off wheels, and flap wheels. Drills: Evolution EvoMag 50 and Bosch PBD 40 Jack was taken and restored from old 2 ton car jack. Return springs are from a scooter front shock absorbers, those are somewhat strong and possible limits the max power to 1,8 - 1,9 ton. Other materials: 12-25mm steel and LDX 2404 ( lean duplex ) for the jaw guides, 22mm dia rods and 30mm x 35mm squares.
