Description: Ever heard of functional training with a rope? Rope flow? Roping? Rolling? Any of these terms? Neither had I! Until a friend of mine, Michelle, showed me some rope tricks she was working on and said, "Ya know, I should put you in touch with Tim Shieff." I exchanged a few emails with Tim, bought myself a rope and the rest is history. Now I find myself making a video to share the fun with you, and it pretty much turned into a beginner rope training tutorial. Now, I do still use a jump rope now and then - I haven't completely abandoned the jumping part - but 95% of the time I'm swinging the rope instead now. It's incredibly functional. It's a full body workout, but it's gentle, fluid and amazing for mobility, coordination and overall function. It teaches your body to work as one unit again, but in complex ways that we aren't used to doing. And although rolling is quite humbling, it's simultaneously very rewarding and enjoyable.
