Description: Dear Aviators, join me on my flight from Sydney to Frankfurt with transit in Beijing (China) during the outbreak of Corona (Covid-19)! It was a journey of the unknown since nobody knew which measures airports and airlines have taken. My biggest fear was not the virus but not to be accepted for travel. It is already over a month ago that I recorded this video. This was exactly when the first travel restrictions came in force. On the day of departure, the Australian government imposed a regulation that only Australians and their relatives were allowed to enter the country coming from China due to the outbreak of Corona. Air China stopped its flight service since it would not be profitable anymore. My return flight was canceled and the online option of the Air China hotline was to get a free refund. They did not offer me an alternative flight even though they are a partner of Star Alliance. Find out in this video how I got home finally... let the 40-hour horror trip take off.
