Description: this was one of 3 surf launches I did this fall in the old town predator pdl.. skunked on bass all 3 times but this time there was a plan B.. 3 friends and myself surf launched, camped bunker schools for a couple hours first thing in the morning with only whales to be seen... mike heard on the radio the fleet of boats offshore of us were catching fish and I assumed they were jigging/casting so we went out there.. I trolled a live bunker the whole way out and we stopped short of the fleet I reeled in the bunker and a wad of doggies followed it up.. mike jigged multiple dogfish in that zone, and I attempted to sight fish a thresher.. which didnt work out, as he went down before I could get a cast at him. seeing as everyone in the fleet was trolling and nobody was hooked up we gave that situation a firm “f*ck this” and went back inshore to tog fish. we caught and released a bunch of tog then called it a day.
