Description: The kidney filters the blood. And in this video, I show how the blood gets to the kidneys, through the kidneys, and away from the kidneys. The pathway we explore starts with the Abdominal aorta, then to the renal artery, segmental artery, interlobar artery, arcuate artery, interlobular artery, and to the arcuate artery, to the glomerulus, efferent artery, and to the peritubular capillaries. From there, it goes via the interlobular vein, to the arcuate vein, to the interlobar vein to the renal veins, and ultimately via the Inferior vena cava to the heart.
